Privacy policy

GridRecipe is run by Msales Norway AS (org. no. 919 627 433), Vigeveien 15A, 4633 Kristiansand S, Norway, which is responsible for your data. Questions or requests: hello@gridrecipe.com.

What we store

• Your account: email address, plan and remaining conversions.
• Your recipes: the recipes you save, and whether you've shared them publicly.
• Conversions: when you convert a recipe we keep its title, the link if you gave one, its size and whether it worked. Photos and pasted text are sent for conversion and not kept.
• Purchases: what you bought and when. Stripe holds the payment details.
• Usage: anonymous page and button events with a random visitor id and your country, so we can see what works. For the free try without an account we keep a one-way hash of your IP address to limit abuse.
• Feedback you send through the form, with your email if you give it.

Why

To run the service you signed up for (contract), to keep it working and free of abuse (legitimate interest), to keep accounting records for purchases (legal obligation), and for Google Analytics only with your consent. We don't sell data, show ads or send marketing email without asking.

Who processes it for us

Supabase:

Accounts and saved recipes. Database in the EU (Stockholm).

Anthropic:

Reads the photo, text or page you send for conversion and returns the recipe. Not used to train models.

Cloudflare:

Hosting, bot protection (Turnstile) and cookieless visitor counts.

Stripe:

Payments. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us.

Resend:

Sign-in links and receipts by email.

Google Ireland (Google Analytics 4):

Statistics on how the site is used. Cookies only if you accept them in the banner. Data is kept for 14 months.

Some of these companies are based in the US. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU's standard contractual clauses.

How long

Your account and recipes stay until you delete them or ask us to. Purchase records are kept for five years, as Norwegian bookkeeping law requires. Usage events are kept while they help us improve the product.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or have your account and recipes deleted: email hello@gridrecipe.com from the address you signed up with. If you think we've handled your data wrongly you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection authority.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used, such as which pages are read and where visitors come from. Google cookies are only set if you click "Accept". If you click "Decline", or make no choice, no cookies are set. Google still receives basic, anonymous signals without cookies or identifiers (Google Consent Mode), used to estimate overall traffic. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

Cookies

• A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in.
• _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, 2 years). Only with consent.
• msale_consent_v1 (stored in your browser). Remembers your choice so we don't ask on every page.

Everything else (your PDF settings, a draft recipe) stays in your own browser. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, also at the bottom of every page.
